Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)

WCPSS is participating in the 2021 implementation of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) between now and January 14, 2022. As in past years, most WCPSS middle and high schools have random classrooms selected from second-period classes to participate. WCPSS is collaborating with the N.C. Department of Public Instruction, ICF International, and Wake County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) to administer the survey. We have three 2nd period courses that were selected (approximately 100 students). Consent forms for those impacted will be sent home last week and must be returned Monday, December 13th. If you have additional questions, please contact Ms. Roberts, Dean of Students at hroberts3@wcpss.net.

FAB Spirit Night at Moe’s

Please join us for this week’s Fine Arts Booster Spirit Night at Moe's on Thursday, December 16, 5 pm-7 pm. Just mention that you are supporting the Green Level Fine Arts Boosters and they will donate 15% of your purchase to us! Our local Moe's is located at 5020 Arco Street, Cary. Thank you so much for your support!

Exam Update

As final exams are just around the corner, EOC and CTE assessments can only occur on devices managed by WCPSS. If you are scheduled to take an EOC or CTE exam, please be sure that you bring your charged Wake County school-issued Chromebook. You will not be able to test on a personal device.

To prepare accordingly, we need all students (one survey per student) to complete the survey on the testing schedule. The testing schedule can be accessed HERE.

If you are a virtual student, you are expected to take your EOC/CTE exams at your base school. Please complete this survey HERE  so that we can accommodate your transportation needs.

Last week, we shared with you that buses would run at 12:45 during exam week.  Regretfully, we need to change this back to the original dismissal time of 2:18 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have on plans made.  We hope with this much notice, students can make alternate plans.
