Hello! I'm Regina Teasley, and I’m proud to be a 2nd grade teacher here at Sanford Creek Elementary. Although I was born in Massachusetts, I grew up right here in the Triangle after spending three wonderful years in Hawaii. I'm also a proud graduate of Wake County Public Schools!

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Political Science from NC State University in 1992. After college, I lived in Atlanta, Georgia for 17 years, where I earned my Master’s degree in Elementary Education in 2008, began my teaching career, and started my family which includes my three amazing children.

Before becoming a teacher, I spent 18 years in the hospitality industry. Teaching is my second career and my true calling. I’ve been part of the Sanford Creek family since 2011 and have had the joy of teaching first and second grades, in Georgia, I also taught kindergarten—each one holds a special place in my heart.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, shopping, attending concerts and plays, and traveling. I especially love exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.

I’m excited about another fantastic school year and look forward to helping my students learn, grow, and thrive!
