About: Upon graduating from Christopher Newport University with my MAT in Elementary Education, I taught first and second grade in Norfolk, Virginia for 4 years. My husband and I moved to Fuquay-Varina in 2017 and I began teaching at Washington as a 2nd grade teacher for 3 years. Since then, I have had the pleasure of serving as a special education teacher and intervention teacher. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education in Special Education at Meredith College. I have a passion for working with students and meeting their individual needs to help them be successful in the classroom. Outside of school, I enjoy cheering on the Canes, curling up with a good book and cup of coffee on the couch, and snuggling with my cat Nellie.
