Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM)

  • Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM) is the statewide process by which students may earn credit for select high school courses by demonstrating mastery of course content without course enrollment or seat time. The CDM process requires students to complete a two-phase assessment: Phase One includes a standard examination (which shall be the EOC where applicable), a locally developed assessment, or other district approved assessments. Phase Two includes an artifact, portfolio, or assessment which requires the student to apply knowledge and skills relevant to the content standards.
The CDM application window for the 2024-25 school year is now closed
CDM Questions should be directed to cdmquestions@wcpss.net or dwilliams7@wcpss.net.
