Hi! I am Rachel Abramson and this is my 10th year working in education! This is my third year as an Instructional Assistant. I am excited to be a York Bulldog again! I am a proud alumnus of York Elementary School myself. I grew up in Raleigh and graduated from UNC Greensboro with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a license to teach birth through Kindergarten. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, exercising, and riding roller coasters at amusement parks. I am so happy to return to York Elementary School to share my early school memories with new students.

Hi York students and families! I am Allie Curtis and this will be my first year teaching. Last year, I was Ms. Glembocki's student teacher and am so lucky to join the York team and stay in the same grade! I am from Charlotte, NC and I graduated from NC State with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. In my free time, I like to read, be outside, watch movies and spend time with my family and friends. I'm so excited to be joining the York team!  

I have an MEd. in early childhood education. I have a decade of experience working with young children from a hands-on interdisciplinary approach and creating and designing interest driven lessons for all types of learners. I am truly at home working with young children. I have worked with all types of students, specializing in helping students with behavioral and academic differences. With my background in ECS, I continue to learn and gain skills with each child I work with. Outside the school setting, I am a mother of three - Milly, Piper, and Beau. Being a mother and an educator brings fulfillment and a good night’s rest!

I graduated from NC State in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a STEM concentration.  I completed my student teaching right here at York, and was lucky enough to be hired as a kindergarten teacher after I graduated!  I have taught kindergarten at York ever since!

I think that students are most successful when the teacher works with the family as a team.  With that being said, I love to communicate with families!  Please email me if you ever have questions or concerns: aglembocki2@wcpss.net.   

In my free time, I love shopping for new decorative items for my home, listening to country music, going to sporting events, and spending time with my family when they are in town.

I am looking forward to another great year at York as a Kindergarten IA. I have three children - two of which will be attending York this year and one is starting high school. I love spending time with my family and two cats, reading, and playing games of all kinds.  

I am so excited for another great year at York! I graduated from NC State, where I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. I grew up in Cary, and I have lived around the Raleigh area for my whole life. In my free time, I love running, finding new places to eat, shopping at Target, and spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait for all that this year has in store!
