Cohort 1A & 2B: This week we are in health and learning about a stress. What a great time to discuss stress as the end of a quarter can be stressful for some as they continue to work to finish strong and improve or maintain their grade. Holidays can also lead to some stress, some of it is bad stress (distress) while some of it is good stress (eustress). Yes, good stress exists!! We'll discuss that this week! This week there will be a Quizizz Lesson! This is something new. You'll click the Quizizz link and while in Quizizz you will review the slide deck and answer questions throughout the presentation. I think many of you will find this to be helpful to answer questions directly after reviewing it. There is also a short stress project for you to complete where you will analyze the stressors in your life. Let's make it a great week!

Cohort 3C: Welcome back for your 2nd rotation in! This week you will be in PE continuing our rhythmic movement unit by participating in cardio drumming! We will be learning different cardio drumming routines to some of your favorite songs! These routines are sure to get your heart rate up, provide a full body workout, and be lots of fun!

Virtual Academy: This week you are in PE and will be continuing our rhythmic movement unit by participating in cardio drumming! You will be learning different cardio drumming routines to some of your favorite songs! These routines are sure to get your heart rate up, provide a full body workout, and be lots of fun! You will just have to choose 1 routine to learn, or create your own, and film it in flipgrid. You can use anything for your "drum": a bucket, laundry basket, garbage can, desk/table, etc. Your "drumsticks" can also be anything you have at home: paper towel rolls, pencils, markers, pool noodles, or your hands! It should be a really fun week!

This week is a remote learning week for all virtual academy and plan B students. There will be no live Google Meets this week nor any face-to-face instruction. For attendance this week, there is a poll question in the classwork section of Google Classroom for you to complete. Completion of the poll will result in being marked present for class this week. Also, this week, you are to check PowerSchools and complete all missing work. All work must be turned in by Tuesday, November 24. While in PowerSchools, check to see if I made any mistakes when entering grades and let me know.

There are NO FITNESS JOURNALS due this week! :) Happy Thanksgiving!

Cohort 1A: WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!! This week we welcome you back to school for face-to-face teaching again! We will always be in PE when you are in the building, so come to school dressed for activity since we will not be using the locker rooms. Also, be prepared to be outside. We are going to be learning footgolf (soccer golf) this week!

Cohort 2B: This week you are in fitness learning focusing on the "Types" part of the FITT principle learned during the last fitness rotation. You will complete a quizizz that focuses on 6 different types of workouts (yoga, plyometrics, HIIT, kickboxing, step aerobics, and circuit training). You will also pick a workout and film in Flipgrid.

Cohort 3C: This week you are in health and focusing on gratitude. You will learn about the health benefits that occur when you practice gratitude. You will complete a quizizz on gratitude as well as create a gratitude journal. Options for your journal are in your activity center.

Virtual Academy: This week in PE we are focusing on footgolf (soccer golf)! You will learn the rules of footgolf, as well as common footgolf terms. You will get to create your own footgolf course as well!! You can play footgolf indoors or outdoors, up to you! If you don't have a soccer ball, no worries! Any ball you are able to kick will work for this game. If you are indoors, I recommend using a rolled up pair of socks or a smaller ball that you can safely use in the house. Have fun playing!

Fitness Journal #5: Due for EVERYONE (virtual academy & cohort A, B, C) on Friday, November 20.
