Ligon Student CouncilStudent Council is a student-led organization focused on improving the Ligon community through leadership and service. This year-long elective class includes planning and participating in school tours, service projects, spirit weeks, school dances, and more!
How do I join?
You must apply for this elective. Complete the online application and have two teachers (or other adults holding a similar role like a coach) complete recommendations for you. All applications and recommendations for the 2020-2021 school year are due no later than April 16, 2020. You will receive notification of your application status (accepted or not) to the email and parent email included in your application.
What are the expectations for a Student Council member?
Student Council members demonstrate good character and honorable behavior, maintain good grades in all classes, perform all assigned responsibilities, and more. They are on time and prepared to actively engage in class each day. Student Council members actively seek opportunities and feedback that encourage their growth as a leader and role model for their peers. See the application for more details.
