    Gifted and Talented
    The Gifted & Talented program is the belief that every student has gifts and talents. Students explore a wide variety of subjects that develop strengths and interests. 
     
    Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Basics
    Students who are identified by WCPSS as AIG participate in the AIG Basics Program. AIG Basics places AIG students in core classes for Language Arts/Social Studies and/or Mathematics/Science.

  • Human Trafficking Safety:  Last week students received a letter regarding Human Trafficking Education.   During Social Studies the week of March 10th, seventh grade students will spend one class period on Human Trafficking Safety.  NC Senate Bill 279 mandates all students in grades 7-9 receive instruction concerning trafficking prevention and awareness.  If you wish to opt your student out of this lesson, please notify Rachel Wolf at rwolf@wcpss.net in writing by the morning of March 10th.   • Ligon Student Council Application for 2020-2021 School Year.  6th, 7th and 8th graders interested in joining Student Council for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year are required to completed the online application.  The deadline for all students is April 17, 2020.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email Ms. Jalik (ljalik@wcpss.net).
