Good evening, Trojans. This is principal Matthew Price with a couple of weekly announcements.

First, thank you to our PTSA and other supporting groups for all of the love shown to our teachers last week for teacher appreciation week!

Exam reviews are in full swing. Please check the GMHS website to see when your exam review sessions will occur. Teachers are offering incentives to attend which should help your grades and exam performance.

Parents, please remind your students to completely turn off their chromebooks, and also to restart them to allow for important updates that will be needed for exams.

The exam schedule is listed on the GMHS website. Please begin to look at it to make sure you are clear on which exams you are taking each day.

Attention parents of rising sophomores: Please join Ms. Bennett in Room 4101 on Thursday evening, May 18th from either 5:45 to 6:15 or 6:15 to 6:45 to learn more about the sophomore IB personal project and how you can support your student next year as they go through the project.

Parents, it's almost that time for yearbook pick-up. On May 22-25, students can pick up their yearbooks during lunch at the concession stand.

If your student is planning on not returning to Garner Magnet HS for the 23-24 school year, please email Ms. Warren at nwarren@wcpss.net only if they are moving out of Wake County.

These are all of the announcements that I have for today. I hope you all had a great weekend, and an especially big shout out to all of the mothers in the GMHS family. Happy Mother's Day to all of you, and GO TROJANS!

Good evening, Trojans. This is principal Matthew Price with your weekly announcements.

Let me begin by wishing our own Mr. Terry Hennings a resounding Trojan congratulations for earning the distinct honor of being named the Wake County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. We had a great time celebrating with him on Friday of last week after Thursday evening’s announcement, and are proud that he represents GMHS and WCPSS so well!

Exams are coming up quickly. The exam schedule and exam review schedule have been posted on the GMHS website so that students can begin to plan their studies.

Seniors, graduation information is going out via school email this evening. Pay attention to your email for all updates. If you have questions see Mr. Pruette.

Senior award invitations are currently being mailed out. Awards night is May 11 at 7:00.

We are  still issuing PowerSchool parent portal accounts to one parent at GMHS. Please be on the lookout for an email from Ms. Warren with login instructions. If you would like both parents or any step parents to have access, please email Ms. Warren at nwarren@wcpss.net Thank you for your patience as this process began last week.

If you have a faculty or staff member that you’d like to shout out for exemplary work please feel free to do so at this link
