My name is Katie Dee. This is my 21st year teaching and my eighth year at Sanford Creek. I’ve spent fourteen years as a 5th grade teacher, two years as a special education teacher for grades 3-5, and four years as a 4th grade teacher. I attended Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York and obtained my Master's Degree from East Carolina University in Special Education - Learning Disabilities after I moved to North Carolina. I am also AIG certified. 

I am originally from Albany, New York. I live in Wake Forest with my husband and our three children. Outside the classroom, I love reading, cooking, and watching my kids play sports. 

I look forward to a great year of partnering with students and families to create a positive academic year full of learning, growth, and fun!
