Hello!

My name is Crystal Catherwood. I was born in Raleigh, NC and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I am a passionate teacher with more than 15 years of experience, and I am thrilled to be joining Jeffreys Grove Elementary this year as a kindergarten teacher. I have previously taught early childhood education, kinder, 1st, and 2nd grades. After graduating from high school, I pursued my passion for languages and global history, learning Italian and Spanish. I have completed college with a Bachelor’s in Education from NC State University, where I have minored in Italian and history. 

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy art, design and spending time in nature. I also love spending time with my 2 children, and my 2 dogs Apollo and Ice!
