Administrative Team

    Carla Jernigan-Baker is a graduate of North Carolina State University with degrees in Mathematics Education and School Administration. She has 34 years of experience as an educator in the Wake County Public School System. Mrs. Jernigan-Baker began her career as a math teacher at Ligon Middle School where she taught for 4 years before moving to Wake Forest-Rolesville High School. She spent 10 years at WFRHS teaching math and coaching several athletic teams. Mrs. Jernigan-Baker left WFRHS to become an assistant principal at Green Hope High School. She has served as the principal of Reedy Creek Middle School and Knightdale High School.


    ELIZABETH HANNA| Assistant Principal, Main Campus
    Elizabeth Hanna graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology and Sociological Development from Pennsylvania State University.  She later went on to pursue a Masters of Education from Queens College and a Masters of School Administration from North Carolina State University.  She has been in education for 19 years and has proudly served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and Intervention Coordinator.  Prior to becoming an "OWL" she served Wakefield High School as the Assistant Principal of Instruction.  During her free time, Ms. Hanna enjoys running or working out at the gym.


    ANDREA GREENE FLOWERS| Assistant Principal, SAU
    Andrea Greene is a graduate of Shaw University with a Bachelor's Degree in Math Education and North Carolina State University with a Masters in School Administration. She has nearly 20 years of experience as an educator in North Carolina. Ms. Greene served as a math teacher at Selma Middle School and Ligon GT Magnet Middle School before transitioning into school administration. Prior to joining WYWLA, Ms. Greene fulfilled roles as an administrator at East Wake (High) School of Integrated Technology and Perquimans County Middle School, an Executive Director at the Achievement Academy of Durham, and most recently as an Academic Assessment Coordinator at Shaw University.
