CARLA JERNIGAN-BAKER | Principal
Carla Jernigan-Baker is a graduate of North Carolina State University with degrees in Mathematics Education and School Administration. She has 31 years of experience as an educator in the Wake County Public School System. Mrs. Jernigan-Baker began her career as a math teacher at Ligon Middle School where she taught for 4 years before moving to Wake Forest-Rolesville High School. She spent 10 years at WFRHS teaching math and coaching several athletic teams. Mrs. Jernigan-Baker left WFRHS to become an assistant principal at Green Hope High School. She has served as the principal of Reedy Creek Middle School and Knightdale High School.KATHY KNEZEVIC| Assistant Principal, Main CampusKathy Knezevic is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a degree in Elementary Education and North Carolina State University with a masters in School Administration. She has 22 years of experience as an educator. Mrs. Knezevic has worked in Georgia and for the Department of Defense prior to beginning her career in the Wake County Public School System. Prior to working at WYWLA, Mrs. Knezevic worked at Holly Grove, Washington, Mills Park, and Davis Drive Elementary Schools.ANDREA GREENE| Assistant Principal, SAUAndrea Greene is a graduate of Shaw University with a Bachelor's Degree in Math Education and North Carolina State University with a Masters in School Administration. She has nearly 20 years of experience as an educator in North Carolina. Ms. Greene served as a math teacher at Selma Middle School and Ligon GT Magnet Middle School before transitioning into school administration. Prior to joining WYWLA, Ms. Greene fulfilled roles as an administrator at East Wake (High) School of Integrated Technology and Perquimans County Middle School, an Executive Director at the Achievement Academy of Durham, and most recently as an Academic Assessment Coordinator at Shaw University.
