I am a native of the Lowcountry of SC and a loyal Gamecock fan.   Being a graduate of the University of SC, I see the “real” Carolina colors as being garnet and black.  My undergraduate degree is from USC in Early Childhood Education.  My master's is from the College of Charleston in Elementary Education.  I have taught Kdg, 2^nd,  4^th, 5^th, and 6^th grades.  For the past 20 years, it has been a great joy to work in Giifted Education.

NC has been our home for the past 35 years.  My husband Ron and I moved here with our children for Ron to launch his own business.  Our three children think of Johnston County as home.  Ron and I are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren.

My hobbies are gardening, baking, reading, and resting close to salt water.  My favorite place is the creek at Pawleys Island, smelling pluff mud.  Taking my children and grandchildren with me to P. I. in the summer is an annual event that is noteworthy.

I love seeing AIG children think and problem solve.  It is fun to present challenges and watch wheels turn as independent thought occurs.  It’s why school is a worthwhile endeavor for me!
