Hi! I am one of the two ESL teachers here at Yates Mill Elementary School. This is my fourth year here at YMES. I grew up in Cary, NC and taught in Charlotte, NC for almost 10 years. I live with my amazing husband who I have been with for 15 years, our baby boy Avery, and 3 cats. A few of my favorite things are Disney, traveling, teaching, reading, and sushi. My undergraduate degree is in International Studies and French from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My graduate degree is in the Masters in the Art of Teaching from UNCC and my additional degree of Education Specialist in Reading Instruction is from Florida State University. I have a love and passion for teaching reading. I am looking forward to another great year!
