SECU People Helping People Scholarship

- exemplify the SECU People Helping People philosophy
- has been accepted to one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina
- public high school seniors who are either members of SECU or eligible for membership through a parent/guardian
- Cannot be an employee or family member of a director or employee of SECU or the SECU Foundation
- see document below for additional eligibility criteria/requirements
Students are highly encouraged to turn in applications well ahead of the deadline as there are several components to the application. There will be no extension for incomplete applications or applications that are not in the correct format.
The Garner Magnet High School Scholarship Committee will review the applications, conduct interviews, and select the GMHS scholarship recipient.

Careers in Conservation Scholarship

- The applicant is expected to have a declared major in the following; agronomy, agricultural engineering, agriculture sustainability, agriculture education, animal science, forestry, natural resource conservation or management, plant science, soil science, water management, water quality, wildlife management or other closely related degree programs.
- The applicant must be a resident of North Carolina, attend a college in North Carolina, and have achieved academic excellence in their high school.
- Consideration will be given to superior academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, honors and achievements obtained.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

- Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States;

- Demonstrate a dedication to community service;
- Present evidence of financial need;

- Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21;
- Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4–year College when applying for the scholarship.
