Background:
Mr. Hokenberg hails from Brooklyn, NY, and spent his formative years in Northern New Jersey. He began his educational journey teaching middle school math in Clifton, NJ. In 2008, he relocated to Cary with his wife and joined Wake County Public Schools. Throughout his career, Mr. Hokenberg has held various leadership positions at both the school level and within central services. For the past three years, he has been the Principal at Mt. Vernon Middle School. Mr. Hokenberg is married and has two children, aged 10 and 5. He is dedicated to fostering strong, lasting relationships and is committed to helping all students achieve their full potential.
