Types of Credit
Project Enlightenment will offer Virtual and In-Person Teacher Workshops for 2021-2022 beginning in the Fall! Check back often for updates!
Special Note: Project Enlightenment will offer virtual and in-person workshops for teachers of young children beginning Fall 2021. Each workshop will occur for two hours therefore, upon completion of each workshop, a participant will earn 0.2 credit towards Teacher Renewal (CEU) or Staff Development Credit. Certificates will be emailed upon completion of a virtual workshop and provided as a hard copy following an in-person workshop. Credit Options: The educator workshops listed on this site have been approved by the Wake County Public School System, the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition, and by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Child Development and Early Education for the following types of credit:
WCPSS WakeLearns Credit
All Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) employees can receive credit for all teacher workshops through WakeLearns. All WakeLearns credits are calculated as follows: 10 hours of workshops = 1.0 credit.
Teacher Renewal (CEU's)
Teacher Renewal CEU's are available for participants that currently hold a North Carolina Teaching Certificate and who are not WCPSS employees. All Teacher Renewal CEU's are calculated as follows: 10 hours of workshops = 1.0 CEU credit.
Staff Development (CDA and Contact Hours Credit)
All other participants may receive Staff Development (CDA and CHC Credit Hours) credit that is calculated as follows: 1 hour of a workshop = 1 Staff Development Credit.
About Credit Certificates
Workshops listed on this site come under the umbrella title of "The World of the Young Child." All participants, with the exception of WCPSS teachers, will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon the successful completion of each teacher workshop. This certificate will be your only proof of attendance. Please retain these forms for your records.
SPECIAL NOTE: Participants who miss 15 minutes or more of a workshop by either logging in late (virtual), arriving late (in-person) or leaving early will not receive a certificate or credit for the workshop.
