Ms. Kristin Beller
I am so excited to be joining Joyner’s Kindergarten team! This will be my thirteenth year teaching in Wake County and my ninth year in kindergarten. I have spent the last four years of my career teaching fourth grade as both a classroom teacher and as a literacy intervention teacher. There are so many reasons I am excited to be returning to kindergarten, but one of them is that I love watching young learners realize their own abilities and strengths as they discover they are readers, writers, scientists and leaders.
I was born and raised here in Raleigh and feel lucky to have grown up in Wake County Public Schools. I graduated from Appalachian State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and later returned to school to earn my Master’s degree in Reading Instruction from N.C. State University. Raleigh has always been a special place to me because of our commitment, as a community, to providing great public schools for our children and their families. I believe that our commitment to building a strong public school system for our children provides us with a foundation for the community we all need to truly thrive. As a native of Raleigh, I also love living in the Piedmont because I don’t have to choose between our beautiful beaches and mountains!
