Ms. Kim Chase, Speech and Language Pathologist

I have been working in the school setting as a Speech/Language Pathologist for almost 22 years (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina). This will be my third year at Green Elementary and I love the community here! I have a 10th and 8th grader and am busy outside of school with their sports. In my free time, I enjoy hiking.

Ms. DeAisha Cooper, Social Worker

Ms. Cooper is a School Social Worker at Green Elementary. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from UNC-Greensboro and her Master’s Degree from Walden University. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where all students feel seen, heard, and empowered. Before joining Green, she supported students at Swift Creek Elementary. Inspired by her own experiences, she believes every student deserves a caring adult to advocate for them both inside and outside of the classroom. Outside of school, she enjoys expressing her creativity through design, trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Tasha Thompson, Counselor

For the past 27 years, I have served in the educational roles of teacher, assistant principal intern, coordinating teacher, and school counselor.  I am excited to begin my 29th year in education; serving my 6th year as a school counselor for the students, parents, and teachers at Green Magnet Elementary School. I am a proud alumni of North Carolina Central University, Go Eagles! and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Go Heels!  Also, I am especially blessed to be the mother to one beautiful daughter, Sydney. In my leisure, I enjoy traveling, shopping, and spending time with my family.

B.A. English Language & Literature, M.S. Mental Health Counseling, Pursuing PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision

Mrs. Rotisha Hall, Counselor

Ms. Hall is in her first year as a School Counselor at Green Leadership and World Languages Magnet Elementary, bringing over 12 years of experience in the counseling field. She supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through individual and group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and collaboration with staff and families. Before becoming a school counselor, Ms. Hall worked in community mental health for over 15 years, providing support services to children and families. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Fayetteville State University, "Bronco Pride!" and her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Mrs. Hall recently authored her first children's book, "Even Unicorns Have Anxiety," with her 12-year-old daughter. Ms. Hall is passionate about helping students build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills in a safe and supportive environment. Outside of school, she enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and fur dog babies, exploring nature, writing children’s books with her daughter, and participating in community service.
