The Salem Blue Notes is a Show Choir. It is a year-long activity that meets once a week after school for rehearsals. Starting this year, Blue Notes are branching out their repertoire to includes all genres of music: Pop, Broadway, Jazz, Holiday, and many more!  It is an auditioned group, meaning you must audition and be accepted to the group. They perform here at Salem as well as at a variety of community events. They take one major performance trip each year. In past years, we have gone to Gatlinburg, Tenn.; Williamsburg, Virginia; Disney World; Boston; Florida; and New York City. They learn about music, performing, movement, and vocal production. There are certain expenses to be a member, but there are several fundraisers done each year to help offset the costs. During track out, you must be able to attend at least half of the rehearsals that happen while you are tracked out. There are both male and female members. We sing, we dance, we laugh, and we enjoy a fellowship based in our music and performances.
