ALL FAMILIES WHO INTEND TO START THE '25-'26 SCHOOL YEAR SHOULD AIM TO COMPLETE THEIR REGISTRATION BY JUNE 12TH. AFTER THIS DATE, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABLE TO START ON JULY 7TH (FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR TRACK 1 AND 3) PLEASE SEE GUIDELINES BELOW AND CALL OUR STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
Families who wish to register after June 12th should complete this google form and send an email to bgkenney@wcpss.net to notify intent of registration and completion of form. Our staff will communicate next steps for registration.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:
Dear Prospective Salem Families,
We are excited to welcome you and your family to the Salem Middle School community. To ensure you can register your child efficiently, please review the registration process below, including pre-registration tasks to complete before scheduling your in-person registration appointment. (Completing pre-registration tasks will highly expedite the process of enrolling your child at Salem)
Before your registration appointment:
Step 1 Check that Salem Middle School is Your Base School
- Use the Address Look-Up Tool online to find your base school.
- If Salem is not your base school, and you desire to attend, please visit WCPSS Student Assignment for information about school transfers.
Step 2 Enroll Online through WCPSS New Student Enrollment Site
- Complete online enrollment process and all required forms: English/Spanish
Step 3 Collect Enrollment Materials to bring to Registration Appointment
- Original birth certificate
- Proof of Residence (Must be either current and original gas, electric or water bill, newly signed lease, settlement statement, or offer to purchase agreement (limited circumstances)
- Parent's photo ID
- Any custody documents
- Child's immunization record if available
- Academic records if available (Report Cards, IEP/504 documents, Test Scores, etc.)
Once your initial registration is completed online, the school will contact you to schedule your in-person appointment, which will generally be between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. You may also call the school at 919-363-1870, ext. 21588 to schedule an appointment.
For questions regarding additional services such as Transportation, Student Support and Programs, etc., our enrollment specialists will be able to assist during your appointment and communicate with the appropriate teachers and/or departments to relay the necessary information for your student's registration.
