Good Evening Holly Springs High School Families.
NEW THIS MESSAGE
Holly Springs High School is offering the SOS Signs of Suicide (SOS) Prevention Program to 12th graders enrolled in English IV on February 18, February 25, and March 4 to help students understand depression is treatable and to introduce students to community resources. See the linked letter for additional information and a copy of the brief screen for adolescent depression parents can complete with your child. Parents who prefer to opt their student out of the lesson should sign and return the parent opt-out letter to Amy Favreau in Student Services. If there are questions, contact Belinda Crawford, Student Assistance Program (SAP) Counselor, at bcrawford@wcpss.net.
The National Honor Society application window will be open February 18 to March 4 for all interested and qualified rising Juniors and Seniors. Students must have a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher, 10 hours of volunteer work, and be prepared to discuss their character and leadership positions or potential. Students must apply for the NHS, no invitations will be sent out. The link will be shared on the NHS bulletin board, the school homepage, and other outlets beginning February 18. For questions please email (mbowen@wcpss.net) or see Mr. Bowen in room 1634.
Pi Day is coming up! Math Honor Society is holding a Pi Day event that everyone is invited to. We will play some Pi Day-themed games and pie our math teachers in the face! Prizes available. This will take place on March 14th, during A lunch, in the stadium. Please email jsmith26@wcpss.net if you have any questions.
Need a math tutor? Math Honor Society is here to help students in any math course! Please use this LINK to be paired with a tutor. After filling out the form, please check your student email daily for a match! Once an email is sent with a tutor’s contact information, it is up to the student to contact their tutor and schedule a time and teacher’s room to meet in. This is great for consistent tutoring, or if you just want to be able to contact a tutor for some help! Please email Grace Bartels at gnbartels@students.wcpss.net with any questions.

Civitan is proud to announce the Steppin’ Out Dance on March 7, 2025 at 5:30-9:00PM. Please feel free to share this with anyone you know who would like to volunteer. All volunteers need to be at Sunrise United Methodist Church by 5:30 on the night of the event. Please park in the rear of the building to leave spaces for our guests. You will be reminded of your duty prior to the event. If you would like to help organize any of the planning, please let me know. We do not have a solid theme for this dance, but the color green will be a major component of the theme due to the proximity to Saint Patrick's Day.
Any groups needing hours are encouraged to sign up!!
