This program was developed by the College Board in response to feedback from higher education to help students make a successful transition into college. It seeks to "equip students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills valued by colleges." Students participating in this program must start during their sophomore year by taking AP Seminar (AP Carstone year 1.)Parents, are you interested in learning more about the benefits of Capstone? Check out this video from College Board to see an example of a student-generated research question from a student's perspective.Curriculum Night PresentationIf interested in your RISING SOPHOMORE taking AP CAPSTONE - SEMINAR YEAR 1 BEFORE you complete your registration with your counselor, please read through the policies of the class as established by College Board to ensure this is a good fit class for you.The AP Capstone program is an academically rigorous program with high expectations for students.Both Year 1- AP SEMINAR and Year 2- AP RESEARCH require a substantial amount of time to complete the research, writing, and presentation components.Students that are interested in the program should first complete the "Capstone Commitment Form" at this link
