AP Computer Science Perfect Scores!
Apex Friendship High School celebrates three high school students for earning a perfect score on the college-level Advanced Placement® (AP®) Computer Science Principles Exam in spring 2023.
Nicholas Kaplan, now a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill double majoring in Physics and Computer Science, and seniors Dmitrii Pavlov and Nathan Rooney were three of only 459 students worldwide to earn every point possible on the AP Computer Science Principles Exam.
Principal Brian Pittman shared, "We are so happy for all three of these students. Nicholas, Dmitrii, and Nathan have incredibly bright futures ahead of them. It's rare enough to have one student with a perfect score, but to have three is truly an extraordinary achievement. We celebrate these amazing students as well as their teacher, Ms. Deb Daniels, for her efforts in supporting and preparing the students for the computer science exam."
The Advanced Placement Program is committed to ensuring students have access to the opportunities they have earned. Students who succeed in AP are more likely to succeed in college and have the chance to save a significant amount of time and money by earning college credit or placement.
Colleges and universities worldwide receive AP scores for college credit, advanced placement, and/or consideration in the admission process. To learn more about AP, please visit exploreap.org.
