Happy December! We only have three weeks before Winter Break begins and Interims will be given out the week of December 9th. We are quickly approaching the end of the 1st semester. Please remind your student(s) to complete and submit all of their work.
Good attendance is an important part of success in school in order for students to learn. You can check your student’s grades and attendance in PowerSchool.
Student Services News
The Department of Education has opened the 2025-2026 FAFSA form to everyone. Senior planning to attend college during the 2025-26 school year may complete the FAFSA now as well as make corrections if needed. Go to studentaid.gov to create an FSA ID. Go to studentaid.gov, go to "Start a New Form" and use the FSA ID to log in to compete the 2024-25 FAFSA. Student Services and the Business Alliance are teaming up to offer a FAFSA Open Lab on December 4th during all Cougar Paws times. Students can sign up to attend at the link below. We will have our Financial Aid Advisor and a representative from Wake Tech available for assistance with the FAFSA. FASFA Open Lab Signup

Student Services will be in 10th grade English classes the week of 12/9 to review graduation requirements, post high school planning, and completing an academic plan
SENIOR PORTRAITS - AT-SCHOOL, YEARBOOK POSE ONLY EVENT
CADY will be on campus in the media center on Wednesday 12/4 to photograph seniors that have still not had their portraits taken for the yearbook. This event is for seniors that have not been photographed and are only interested in the formal shot used in the yearbook. Anyone wanting to take advantage of this opportunity can reserve their appointment time using the SignUpGenius. Please be aware that any senior that does NOT have their portrait taken by CADY will NOT be in the yearbook. Please make sure you are included! 🙂
LAST DAY TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED
The last day to be photographed and guarantee you will be in the yearbook is FRIDAY DECEMBER 6, 2024. Any seniors photographed after this date are NOT guaranteed to have a senior portrait in the yearbook.
