WFHS Principal Update - Week of November 11th

Good evening, WFHS Families,

Tomorrow is Veterans Day Holiday. I would like to thank all of our Veterans and your families for your service.

Student Services News

Please join us for our 9th-11th Grade Parents' Night is scheduled for Thursday November 14, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Parents will have the opportunity to attend 3 sessions. Sessions will include promotion/graduation requirements, academic programs WFHS offers, and post high school opportunities related to college, career/employment, and military service. The schedule for the sessions are linked here! 

Students interested in Wake Techs College and Career Promise Program have until 11/15 to apply to participate in the Spring 2025 semester. Accepted students can self-register for classes starting 11/4 until 12/1. 

SENIOR PORTRAITS - AT-SCHOOL, YEARBOOK POSE ONLY EVENT

CADY will be on campus in the media center on Wednesday 12/4 to photograph seniors that have still not had their portraits taken for the yearbook. This event is for seniors that have not been photographed and are only interested in the formal shot used in the yearbook. Anyone wanting to take advantage of this opportunity can reserve their appointment time using the SignUpGenius.  Please be aware that any senior that does NOT have their portrait taken by CADY will NOT be in the yearbook. Please make sure you are included! 🙂

LAST DAY TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED

The last day to be photographed and guarantee you will be in the yearbook is FRIDAY DECEMBER 6, 2024. Any seniors photographed after this date are NOT guaranteed to have a senior portrait in the yearbook. Appointments are still available using the sign up genius above for a yearbook-pose-only session, or the CADY site to schedule a full session: cady.com/schedule

PTSA News

Save the Date - November 20  Spirit Night - Chipotle 4:00-8:00  We are so pleased that the Juniorettes and JOI Clubs are doing a fundraiser to help support the PTSA. Their Community organizations- The Women's Club and Optimist Club  have been amazing supporters of our school. Please help make this fundraiser a success !!! 

You are welcome to join us for our next PTSA Board meeting on November 18 at 6:00 pm in the media center. Come hear about all of the things we are doing.

We are having a Class of 2025 meeting on November 19 at 6:00 pm in the media center. We are continuing to plan for events and activities throughout the year.

Business Alliance

Help is needed on December 10 for Speed Networking!  This will be an event going on all day as we work with some of the 11th grade English classes to polish their Elevator Speeches!!  NO Experience Needed!!  Speed Networking
