WFHS Principal Update - Week of May 20th

Good evening WFHS Students and Families,

All Students - The spring exam scheduled is located on our school website and can be found on this link.

We have several events coming up which will showcase our students’ talents and hard work. Please see schedule below:

• May 21^st – Band Concert in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.
• May 23^rd – Chorus Concert in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Please see our website for ticket information.
• May 31^st  - Dance Concert in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. Please see our website for ticket information.
• June 1^st – Dance Concert in the auditorium at 2:00 p.m. Please see our website for ticket information.

As a reminder, WFHS is following the Clear Bag policy per WCPSS for the above performing arts events.

Seniors – This week is Senior Week and our Senior Awards Ceremony is May 23rd. Please refer to email sent to all seniors on May 15^th for more information. Logistical information is below.

• For families who plan to attend, please plan to arrive between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 8:30.
• Visiting families should plan to park in the gravel lot. I have attached an image of the school with parking lot.
• There are a limited number of Accessible Parking spots in front of our parking deck.
• Please plan to enter through the doors by the auditorium or the main gym entrance.  We will have staff stationed at both the gym and auditorium entrance doors who will check you in.
• The Senior Picnic which is for seniors, Junior Marshalls, and parent who are signed up to help will begin after the ceremony.
• As a reminder, seniors who ordered yearbooks may receive them if they do not have any outstanding fees or fines.

Tuesday, June 11: Senior Parade at Wake Forest Elementary from 12:00-1:30. Current Seniors who attended Wake Forest Elementary are invited to attend! Check your "Save the Date" email from Ms. Hinman for more details.

Senior Dues Reminder – Senior Dues for the Class of 2024 are $60.00 and are collected to cover diploma covers and graduation cost. All financial obligations must be taken care of before seniors will receive graduation tickets. This fee does not include cap, gowns, and tassels.

To pay the senior fees please visit our website, select Families, then Oline School Payments, and finally select Senior Dues Class of 2024. All fees should be paid online.

PTSA News

Help is still needed on the PTSA for the 2024-2025 school year! If you are interested in helping with Advocacy or Staff Grants we can use your help!! 

Seniors and senior parents! We are kicking off Senior Week - Sunday come to the school parking deck from 5:00-8:00 or decorate your vehicle at home to start the week!  Monday wear your Wake Forest gear to celebrate your school spirit!
