WFHS Principal Update - Week of February 5th

Good evening WFHS Students and Families,

Happy February! All students should have received their report card for first semester on Friday.

Open House/Curriculum Night and Meet the Teacher – Join us on February 8^th from 5:00-6:15 p.m. to learn more about the courses we offer followed by our Meet the Teacher night from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet your student’s teachers for the spring semester. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Prom – Prom tickets are now on sale. Please go to our website and either choose Prom Information or click on Families, then choose Online School Payments. Please see attached flyer.

Senior Information

Graduation Reminders – Graduation is June 10^th at 4:00 p.m. at the Raleigh Convention Center. Graduation practice will be held June 6^th at 2:00 and is mandatory fall seniors who will participate in the graduation ceremony.

• Graduation Meeting – There will be a graduation informational meeting for all seniors on February 7^th at 9:15 in the auditorium. We will give out our graduation packet which contains information seniors will need. Please check with your seniors about the packets.
• Senior Fees – Senior Dues for the Class of 2024 are $60.00 and are collected to cover diploma covers and graduation cost. All financial obligations must be taken care of before seniors will receive graduation tickets. This fee does not include cap, gowns, and tassels.
• In order to pay the senior fees please visit our website, select Families, then Oline School Payments, and finally select Senior Dues Class of 2024.

WFHS Business Alliance is hosting a Pathways to Success Career Fair on 2/15 during 1st and 2nd periods. This fair will be focusing on those careers that 4-year college is not needed for. Click the link for student sign up

PTSA News

The PTSA has many events coming up which will need many volunteers. Those volunteers must have clearance. Please complete the link to your volunteer registration.

There will be a Senior breakfast on February 14th (weather makeup day the 23rd). We are looking for volunteers from all grade levels to help with this event, as well as those who wish to donate.
