Principal's Weekly Message, 10-18-24

Greetings Families,

Here are your Weekly Updates from LRMS:

 

1.  Next week is a five-day week of school.

 

 

2.  Events next week:

  • Monday, 10/21, 4pm - Volleyball AWAY, @ Carroll Middle (this is a make-up game)
  • Tuesday, 10/22, 3pm - Running Club
  • Wednesday, 10/23, 7am - National Junior Honor Society
  • Wednesday, 10/23, 3:15pm - Future Cities Club
  • Wednesday, 10/23, 4pm - Girls' Soccer/Volleyball HOME!, vs. Durant Middle
  • Thursday, 10/24, 4pm - Football HOME!, vs. Durant (GREEN-OUT!)
  • Friday, 10/25, 8:30am - LIONS Breakfast #2 (by invitation only)
  • Friday, 10/25, 3-5pm - MusicFEST! (with LRMS Bands)
  • Saturday, 10/26 9-11:30am - LRMS Campus Beautification Day
  • Saturday, 10/26 - Dia de Oakwood begins (details)

 

 

3.  We're excited to finally host home sporting events on our new track and spectator area this week!  We hope to see you Wednesday or Thursday at 4pm.  WEAR YOUR GREEN!

 

 

 

4.  Thanks to everyone for their donations to support families in Western North Carolina.  By request, we will continue to accept donations next week.  Here's the website with requested supplies.

 

 

 

5.  PTSA Updates:

 

Unfortunately we still have not quite met our $20K fundraising goal.. we are going to extend One Last Time thru SUNDAY NIGHT!! Please Help Leesville Road Middle School PTSA!!
 
 
ALL STUDENTS win a FREE DONUT DAY if we meet our goal!! Plus a Target gift card raffle for this week's donators!!
 
 
We are only $4K away from our goal! We we would hate to have to cut any activities & programs! Many of you have donated twice - we see you & appreciate you!! If you just forgot, now is your chance to help! THANK YOU!!

Fall weather is here - stock up on your LRMS Spiritwear! 
 
We will be selling Spiritwear IN PERSON on October 23,24,25 from 730-10am in the Lions Den. (Use exterior entrance). Or, you can purchase anytime online!  The Homeroom with the most sales between October 11 - November 15 will earn Duck Donuts for the entire class!

LRHS sponsors dance clinic

Looking for a fun activity for your child on the Nov. 5 workday? The LRHS dance team and dance ensemble are hosting a dance clinic from 9:00-12:30 with a parent showcase at 12:00. See QR code below to register.  All proceeds benefit the LRHS dance program.
