    NC State Digital Design Camp

    Mark your calendars! 

    The Design Lab is excited to announce that 2021 summer programming will be held virtually through our Digital Design Lab’s Virtual Programs

    Digital Design Camp registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on March 1, 2021.

    Our Digital Design Camp is a multi-discipline pre-college design program. Digital Design Camp aims to inform students about the study of design and raise awareness of the impact of design on all aspects of our everyday lives. The design thinking skills and creative experience gained can empower students on their path toward becoming innovative problem solvers and prepare them to tackle the challenges of the future.


    North Carolina School of Science and Math

    Step Up to STEM is an innovative interdisciplinary academic program that uses exciting real-world subjects to challenge rising 9th graders across North Carolina and build their skills in science, math, technology, and communications. 

    During the program's residential summer institute, students live and learn on the historic campus of North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, where they have the opportunity to take advantage of the many unique enrichment activities available throughout the Triangle area. The program is open by application to African American, Hispanic American, and Native American 8th graders who live in North Carolina.

    Step Up to STEM is made possible by generous financial support from Red Hat and is also funded by Summer Accelerator. The program started through the generous financial support of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, the North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation, Bayer CropScience, and Duke Energy Foundation.




     Wake Forest Pre-College Programs department.  Our Summer Exploration Program provides current 6th- 8th graders with the opportunity to explore the world of STEM while learning more about Wake Forest University. Middle School students can explore on-campus (pending future public health guidance) or online in one of our five new and exciting STEM-themed Adventures while receiving mentorship from Wake Forest staff and undergraduate students.
