Principal's Weekly Message, 9-19-24
LRMS Families,
It was great to see many of you at Open House earlier this week. Thanks for attending and supporting your students and our staff. We want to partner with you now and throughout the 2024-25 school year.
Tomorrow, 9/20 is a Teacher Workday, so this Weekly Message is a day early:
1. Next week is a five-day week of school. Quarter 1 Interim Reports go home next Friday.

- Wednesday, 9/25, 4:30-5:45 - Pre-game Football Tailgate at Leesville High
- Wednesday, 9/25, 6pm - Wednesday Night Lights! Football vs. Pine Hollow (hosted at Leesville High, LRMS is the AWAY team)
- Thursday, 9/26, 4pm - Girls Soccer/Volleyball AWAY, @ Pine Hollow
- Thursday, 9/26, 5-8pm - Spirit Night - Chick-Fil-A, Brier Creek Parkway Location

3. Volunteer Registration Reminder from WCPSS:
• Log into your MyVolunteer account at https://myvolunteer.com/wcpss/volunteer/renew-account
• Verify and update any contact information, if needed.
• Change or add new schools, if needed.
To end your volunteer status, follow the same process and select “Deactivate your account.”
Your continued involvement and support are invaluable to us, and we appreciate your prompt attention to this renewal process.

4. Some of our seventh grade Art and Spanish students have enjoyed learning about Dia de Los Muertos with artist, Peter Marin this week. Here is a great opportunity for anyone interested to learn more this Saturday, 9/21 at the North Carolina Museum of Art:

We are looking for a Chairperson and volunteers for the upcoming Book Fair. The event is scheduled for Nov 18-22. The Chair will work with our Library Media Coordinator, Ms. Bussell, to make this event a success.
