3.  If your student has not yet provided you with his or her schedule for Open House classroom visits on Tuesday, you can use this template. (Make a copy of the Google Doc and ask your student to fill in their classes under the appropriate grade level column.)

4.  From September 15-October 15, we have joined our District in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.  We have been highlighting the contributions of famous Hispanic Americans on our LRMS News each morning.  You can check out the Hispanic Heritage Month Website for more information.

Additionally, here are a couple opportunities to celebrate in Raleigh this weekend:

Sunday, September 15, 2024:

Cultural Experience at the City of Raleigh Museum -- Boleros y Libros

12:00 pm to 4:00 pm | FREE | City of Raleigh Museum

La Fiesta Del Pueblo

12:00 pm to 6:00 pm | FREE | Fayetteville Street, Downtown Raleigh

5.  Unfortunately, we have had a couple reports of "doxing" among a few of our students and families recently.  If you're not familiar with this term, here's a quick note from the North Carolina Department of Information Technology:

Doxing is the act of searching for people’s personal information over the internet. The term comes from “document tracing,” which involves collecting documents belonging to a person or company to learn more about them.

I'll also include this article from the NCDIT on how to protect your family.  If you are allowing your students to access social media, please ensure they are proceeding cautiously and not engaging with strangers or unfamiliar contacts.

6.  PTSA Updates:
