4.  Here's an opportunity for any families with Middle School GIRLS:

Here is an upcoming middle school female empowerment conference, “She’s THAT Girl”, which will take place on May 18, 2024, at William Peace University.

‘She’s THAT Girl’ is designed to create a space for 100-120 middle school girls to be empowered through interactive breakout sessions that provide dialogue around topics that middle school aged girls typically struggle with, including mental and emotional health, self-confidence, friendships, relationships, peer pressure, identity, etc. The goal of this conference is to facilitate an environment that encourages these girls to connect, learn, reflect, grow, and be empowered in their journey while reminding them that they are indeed THAT Girl!

Here's the flyer with details.

5.  See invitation below from our Band Director, Ms. Rekeibe:

“Meet The Instruments!” - Tuesday, March 19th at 6:00pm
Make plans to attend our “Meeting the Instruments” Night on Tuesday, March 19th at 6:00pm in the Leesville Road Middle School Band room! We will have a showcase of our band program, with the honors band performing, and instrument demonstrations that future students can try to see what might be their best fit! They will actually get a chance to try the instruments! We will also have additional parent information regarding equipment, how to rent/purchase instruments, and the opportunities available to your child in our band program!

6. Don't forget!  April 20 will be our mini-Science Olympiad.  Here are the important links:

7.  Athletics Update from Leesville Middle Athletic Club (LMAC):

Congrats to all the athletes that made spring sports teams (track, softball, boys soccer)!  Families should be sure to purchase season passes to games/meets as well as gear:

Season Passes: www.lmaclions.org (...will be delivered to each coach to give to the athletes.)

Spirit Wear Links (Closes March 18):

***It takes two weeks to get orders in...

Lastly, LMAC is looking for fresh volunteers for next year. The athletic boosters club financially supports the 10 athletic teams, and coaches here at Leesville Road. If your child plays sports here at Leesville Middle, or might next year, this is the perfect opportunity for you to get involved.

If you have questions or want more information, please reach out to LMAC President Heather Stevenson at lmac@lmaclions.org.
