Principal's Weekly Message, 6-9-23
LRMS Families,
What a year! I'm so proud of each and every Leesville Lion. It was an honor to serve as your principal the second half of the 2022-23 school year. Likewise, it was great to see so many families at our assemblies over the last two days. I look forward to so many more in-person events that bring the Leesville Community together in the years to come. Thank you to all our families for your support of our students!
To our eighth graders, class of 2027 - we wish you all the best as you enter the next stage of your educational journey. You will be missed!
To our returning families, this will be the last Weekly Message for the school year. Messages will resume in early August. Here are a few updates:
1. The only students attending school on Monday and Tuesday are those signed up for EOG re-testing. The school day begins at the normal time (8:15am), but will end close to 1pm once testing has been completed. Bus departures and carpool will begin at 1pm.
2. The first day of school for traditional calendar students for next school year is Monday, August 28. Here is the District Calendar for 2023-24.
3. One last note from Ms. Bussell about Chromebooks:
Any 8th graders who did NOT turn in their Chromebook, or 6th & 7th graders whose devices are damaged or have issues, must turn in their devices by 3:00pm on Tuesday, June 13th. Please stop by the main office to drop these off.
4. Our office staff and administrators will still be on-campus this summer if you need us. Our anticipated office hours are M-F, 8am-3pm. You can also make an appointment by calling the front office.
