Leesville Elementary Lego Club is a fun place to work together in teams to make creations. Each meeting students will be working in teams of 3 to solve a task/ challenge. Examples include design a wind powered vehicle and see how far it will go or make a boat that floats and will hold at least 20 pennies. Teams will test and present what they have created to the group as we celebrate the different approaches to solving the task at hand. The children work together in small groups, free building working on creativity, fine motor skills, and team work. The Lego Club will meet on select days after school each month from 4:15-5:30. The fall club is for students in grades 4 and 5. The spring club is for students in 2nd & 3rd grade. The group is limited to 30 students due to space needed to build the creations. The students' creations will be kept at school and continue to be worked on throughout the year.
Lego donations are always welcome and appreciated. If you know anyone who has children that have outgrown their Lego's, please ask them to donate them to our Lego Club.
