In-School-Suspension (ISS)

  • In-School-Suspension is another disciplinary intervention in place of out-of-school suspension. It is a consequence that allows the student to remain on campus during the school day in a constructive and academic setting. Students who are assigned ISS will spend the school day or specified periods in the designated ISS room. Students are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior and be engaged in academic tasks. Students who cannot meet the expectations set in ISS may be suspended. Students who serve a day in ISS may not participate in any other school functions that day.
