• Greetings,

This message is from Gary Duvall the proud principal of Holly Springs High School. Below you will find the Hawks Connection for the week of  10/6 - 10/10.  We have enjoyed a great homecoming week with our students and we are looking forward to an even better week ahead. Please take a moment to review the Hawks Connection, our weekly communication designed to keep students and families informed about important school updates, events, and announcements throughout the year.

All students have the window to sign up from the beginning of A lunch through 8 p.m. Students will need to designate where they will be for both A and B lunch.

Letters of recommendation for College Applications:

When you request a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor, please include a BRAG SHEET.

This will help and guide the recommender when writing about you.  Please make sure you give the person you are asking MORE than TWO WEEKS notice before your deadline.  Write a nice email to the person you would like to request the letter of recommendation from.  Please make sure you include a list of the schools you are requesting the letter for, their deadlines and your BRAG SHEET.  All counselors will want to meet with you before they send your college application materials.  Make sure you schedule an appointment with them immediately!

You can find the link to their calendars here: https://www.wcpss.net/Page/57660

Beginning in October and running through May, we’re inviting local small business owners to partner with us in showing appreciation for our incredible teachers and staff. On the last Monday of each month, participating businesses can provide or sponsor breakfast items to be served in the HSHS staff lounge.

This is a wonderful way to:
-Support and thank our hardworking staff with a delicious start to their week.

-Spotlight your small business to the HSHS community.

-Build meaningful connections while giving back.

Whether you’d like to donate homemade items, sponsor breakfast favorites, or contribute in another creative way, your partnership makes a big difference!

Interested in participating? Contact hospitality@hollyspringshsptsa.org for details and to reserve your month.

Let’s kick off Mondays with community spirit, good food, and gratitude for our staff!
