Workforce Development Regional Scholarship

- Must be a graduating High School Senior.
- Applicants must be seeking a career in a skilled trade directly related to residential construction.
- Scholarship must be recommended by a teacher or school official who can write a letter of recommendation explaining your career pathway into the residential construction trade.
- Elgible trades for this scholarship: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, & masonry.

This scholarship will be awarding 8 students.

North Carolina Home Builders Educational & Charitable Foundation Scholarship

- Scholarships will be awarded to students nominated by members of NCHBA. Four-year college students entering their junior or senior year, or two-year technical school students entering their second year, who have declared their major in a residential construction-related field may be nominated.
- Nominees DO NOT have to be related to an NCHBA member, but a member must sign off on their application before it is submitted.
- Students must be taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be eligible.
Amount:
The number of scholarships and the amount of each scholarship will be determined by the Board of Trustees based on the availability of funds.

Garner Mid-Day Rotary

- Graduating seniors who plan to attend a four-year or two-year college
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Commitment to community service

Amount:
Garner Mid-Day Rotary will be offering five $1500 Scholarships.
Three $2500 Scholarships for seniors who plan to attend a four-year college.

Carol Sims Scholarship

- College-bound seniors -- 2-year or 4-year.
- Be sure to demonstrate/explain your level of community involvement/service.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0
- ****The application packet will be in student services for students.
All completed applications must be submitted to Mr. Brown in the student services department. Please pay attention to the deadline. No applications will be accepted after April 18th.

Trojan Athletic Scholarship

- Have participated in sports for 2 years (including senior year).
- Must have a coach's evaluation included with the application.

SECU People Helping People Scholarship

- Must be a senior at a North Carolina public high school
- Must be a SECU member or eligible for membership through a parent/guardian
- Must be a United States citizen, a resident of North Carolina, and eligible for in-state tuition
- Must be accepted to attend one of the 16 UNC system universities as a full-time undergraduate
- Must have demonstrated scholastic achievement with a 2.5 or higher unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Must have demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement
- Must file FAFSA as part of the application
Students are highly encouraged to turn in applications well ahead of the deadline as there are several components to the application. There will be no extension for incomplete applications or applications that are not in the correct format.
(Also, you must record a video telling us the nominated committee how you exhibit leadership, have community involvement, and how this scholarship can help you in the future.) Please share the video with Mr. Brown via Google share.
The Garner Magnet High School Scholarship Committee will review the applications, conduct interviews, and select the GMHS scholarship recipient.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

- Be a graduating high school senior;
- Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States;
- Show leadership potential;
- Demonstrate a dedication to community service;
- Present evidence of financial need;
- Be a United States citizen;
- Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21;
- Must not possess a degree from a 2-4–year college when applying for the scholarship.
