I am originally from the state of Ohio, where I graduated from Muskingum University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education/Performance, Elementary Education and Special Education. I also have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Muskingum. Throughout my career, I've enjoyed teaching Music, Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Special Education. The past 10 years have provided many joyous moments teaching music here at Leesville, but I've decided it's time for a change! I am excited to return to the grade level I began my teaching career in- Kindergarten and am looking forward to working with our newest LES cubs! A little about myself, my husband and I have seven children, 2 grandbabies and 3 fur babies. Our family enjoys hiking in the mountains, relaxing on the beach and going on various adventures together.

My name is Jamie Netherland and I moved to Raleigh in July 2020. For 21 years, my husband was in the Army, and we lived in many different states and countries. I have experience teaching 1st and 2nd grade, and last year I was an IA in 4th grade at LES. I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my family. My daughter graduated from UNC last year and is living in Germany. My son is a senior at Millbrook High School.
