Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Guidelines
We are currently scheduling the May classes. If there are any students who have not been scheduled to drive, who attended class prior to the May class, please reach out to Mrs. Stone.
The current wait time for Behind the Wheel instruction at Enloe High School is currently 2-3 months once a student completes the classroom portion of the course.
- Students are sent to a BTW instructor roster based on the class session they took and age within the class, oldest to youngest.
- BTW must be scheduled with the parent/guardian. Inform your students to share with you if they are called because their phone number was on the form instead of a parent’s.
- Please speak to your driver via phone call if he or she texts you for the initial contact.
- Drivers meet students at Enloe and must return students to Enloe for parent pick-up at the conclusion of the driving lesson.
- Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes (i.e. no flip flops).
- Once BTW concludes, the driver will issue a Certificate of Completion. Please review it carefully before you leave the lesson.
Driver Eligibility Certificates (DEC)
Driver Eligibility Certificates (DEC) are issued through Student Services (East Building) and can be picked up by the student or parent. You will need to show your copy of the Certificate of Completion. You must have the DEC for your DMV visit.
