Celebrate International Dot Day at home and at school!  This Friday, Sept. 13th Aversboro will celebrate International Dot Day!

This annual event is based on the book, "The Dot," by Peter Reynolds.  It is a story about Vashti, a reluctant artist.  Vashti is afraid that she is not good enough at art.  However, with the help of her teacher, Vahsti learns to take a risk and "make a mark!"  We encourage students and families to show your creativity.  Please create a family dot to be displayed in our front hallway.  Creativity, of course is encouraged, so use whatever materials you can find to make your mark!

Students are also encouraged to dress in "dotted" clothing on Friday, Sept. 13th as we celebrate Dot Day!

The flyers for the project should have gone home this week, but we had a hurricane.  So the project guidelines are listed below.  Please feel free to print them our, or crfeate your own dot on any paper you choose.  Please remember to put the student's name, grade level and teacher somewhere on your dot! Thank you for your support!  We hope you have fun making a mark with your children!
