I have had the privilege of teaching mathematics for many years in both Virginia and North Carolina. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Millersville University and a Master’s degree from Radford University. Outside the classroom, I’m the wife of a retired pastor, a proud parent of three grown children, a grandmother to six, and a proud dog owner. In my free time, I enjoy photography and cherishing moments with my family (I’m the family’s official paparazzi). I enjoy traveling and have been on mission trips to Haiti and Ukraine. I am passionate about my God, mathematics, and find great joy in helping students achieve success, both in math and in life.

I have been a teacher for 25 years and love math. Though I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!), I have called NC home for 30 years, and I'm a graduate of UNC-Charlotte. When I am not teaching, I enjoy working in my yard, planting flowers, cooking, and reading.
I am married (Bill) and have two kids (William & Dabney). William is a graduate of SCORE, Wake Tech and NASCAR Tech and currently works as an automotive technician in Charlotte. Dabney graduated from Cary High School and is currently a proud Appalachian State Mountaineer. We have 2 dogs (Max & Minne). I'm proud to be a part of SCORE Academy!

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I earned my degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). After teaching for a year in Pennsylvania, I moved to Orlando, Florida, where I taught at Celebration High School, where I helped create an AVID program and wrote curriculum to support students struggling with the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test). During that time, I also coached cross-country & track and started a girl's weightlifting team. 

In 2010, I relocated to North Carolina and stepped away from the traditional classroom to spend more time with my son. I tutored and homeschooled three children from Latvia who were being adopted. This experience further deepened my passion for individualized and alternative education.

I then began my WCPSS career, starting at Green Hope High School before transitioning into an alternative setting, which is where I truly found my professional home! I worked at Connections Academy Middle School before coming to SCORE, where I’m proud to support students in a personalized and flexible learning environment.

Hello! I was born and raised in WV. I am a former industrial engineer, and I chose the path of teaching because of my passion for sharing my love for mathematics. I am in my 21st year of teaching. I am a mom of three boys, and our family of five enjoys watching sports, especially NC State football. GO PACK!

My name is Robbie Walters, and I am excited to be a part of the SCORE Academy family. I am a native of North Carolina, and I grew up in a small town in the eastern part of the state. I received my Bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University, and I still enjoy supporting the Pirates! I have taught high school mathematics for many years, including the last 15 years in Wake County. I am passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally. I am married and the proud mother of two sons and a daughter. I love spending time with my family, and I love the beach! I look forward to a great year of building relationships with students & colleagues and helping all students prepare for their future and achieve their dreams!
