Elyse Stafford

I graduated from East Carolina University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Reading.

I am originally from California, and have lived in Wake Forest since I was 10. In my free time I love to workout at Orange Theory and spend time with my family, friends, and my sweet pup Charlie!

I chose to be apart of the RES staff because it is where I felt the most comfortable and at home. Every single person I’ve met is nothing short of kind and caring. That is one of the many reasons why RES is a great learning environment, it is filled with teachers and staff who care about each other and every student that comes into the building. I couldn’t imagine being at any other school!

Lori Newnam

I am Lori Newnam and I graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in English and taught high school English for 5 years before I became a mom. Once my own children went into school, I started helping out at their schools and fell in love with the elementary age and decided to go back into teaching at that level.

I am originally from Durham, NC and now I live in Wake Forest with my husband, three daughters and my dog.

I love the environment at Rolesville Elementary and I believe it is such a caring and inviting place to learn and work.

Jennifer Workowski

I was born in Wisconsin but moved to NC in 5th grade. I went to UNC-go Tarheels. This is my 16th year teaching. Second grade is definitely my favorite grade to teach.  I did take some time off to stay home with my kids then came back once they were all in school.  I’ve been back at RES for the last 8 years.  I feel like it’s my second home. It’s a great place to learn and grow for children and adults.  I’m excited for the new relationships I will make in this new school year.

I have 4 children. One is in college, my twins are in 11th and my  youngest is in 9th. I have 3 girls and 1 boy.   When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, taking walks and traveling-especially to the beach or mountains.

Allison Old, Teacher

Hi! My name is Mrs. Old and I love teaching 1st grade at Rolesville Elementary School! This is my 14th year teaching and my 4th year at Rolesville Elementary; Go Rams!! I went to Radford University for both my undergrad and graduate degree. Originally, I am from Northern Virginia where I taught 1st grade, 2nd grade and special education. My passion is working with children and getting each child excited to learn and grow each day! We will spend our days engaging in fun, authentic lessons that will allow your child to grow academically, emotionally, and socially! I value a parent/teacher relationship and look forward to working with both parents and students this year to make it a successful year for all!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending my time with my husband, Jason, and our 2 sons, Jack & Palmer, who both attend Rolesville Elementary, too! I enjoy reading books, attending sporting events, shopping, going to the beach and spending time with family & friends
