Hey everyone! My name is Diana Bryant and I began my teaching career in 2006. I have taught 1st grade for 12 fun years in the Wake Forest area and joined the RES family in 2018. This year I began a new adventure in 2nd grade with a wonderful team.

My husband Justin and I have 3 children; 2 sons who attend RES and a daughter who adores her big brothers and keeps them straight. As a family we enjoy taking walks in our neighborhood together, playing sports - especially baseball and basketball, attending church together and cheering on our favorite team, the Virginia Cavaliers. Go Hoos! Personally, I like to read, try new restaurants/foods, make arts and crafts, and travel.

RES is a great place to learn because...the teachers are invested, the students work hard and the PTA is supportive. It is a happy school and we have fun learning and growing everyday! At RES, there is time set aside each day for lessons on positivity, building up our character strengths and teaching students to show that #otherpeoplematter in their daily interactions. As a teacher and a parent, I love that this is emphasized for my children each day.

Ms. Elyse Tortora

My name is Elyse Tortora and this is my first year teaching at RES. I graduated from East Carolina University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Reading.

I am originally from California, and have lived in Wake Forest since I was 10. In my free time I love to workout at Orange Theory and spend time with my family, friends, and my sweet pup Charlie!

I chose to be apart of the RES staff because it is where I felt the most comfortable and at home. Every single person I’ve met is nothing short of kind and caring. That is one of the many reasons why RES is a great learning environment, it is filled with teachers and staff who care about each other and every student that comes into the building. I couldn’t imagine being at any other school!

Mrs. April Lipscomb

My name is April Lipscomb and I am originally from West Virginia.  My husband and I have three children, Madison (19), Makenzie (16) and Grant (13).  We also have two dogs and one cat.

I have taught many grade levels throughout my teaching career.  In addition to an elementary education degree, I also hold a NC reading certificate where I have most recently been an intervention/enrichment teacher over the last several years.  I’m excited to get back into the classroom at Rolesville Elementary!

I have a love for animals and spending time at my kid’s sporting events, which is where you will find me on the weekends.

Rolesville Elementary provides a nurturing environment which allows each and every student the opportunity to grow and thrive!  I chose this school because the staff puts students first and we are all dedicated to enriching young children's lives. 🙂
