FFA

  • FFA, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, is a co-curricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. However, FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA welcomes students who aspire to be teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more. For this reason, the name of the organization was updated in 1988 after a vote of national convention delegates to reflect the growing diversity and new opportunities in the industry of agriculture.

    How do I join FFA?
To participate in FFA, students must be enrolled in at least one agriculture/biotechnology course during the school year.

    How often does FFA meet?
FFA meets every Wednesday after school.

    Are there any FFA competitions?
Yes. Ligon FFA will compete in the East Central Regional Rally and Middle Grades Rally competitions.
