Administrative Team

    T. Aaron Marcin, Principal

Welcome to East Millbrook Magnet Middle School – My name is Aaron Marcin and I am the Lead Learner here at the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. I joined the East Millbrook family in 2019 bringing with me 20 years of experience in teaching and learning throughout North Carolina. Before coming to the Academy, I served as a principal, assistant principal, and a teacher in Wake, Durham, and Chatham counties.

I was raised the oldest of six children by two amazing parents in a rural village in Michigan. After graduating high school I attended Indiana University, moved to NC and began my career in teaching. After nine years, I obtained my Master’s in School Administration at NC State and moved into a school administrator role. Coming to East Millbrook Magnet Middle School has been the most rewarding and fulfilling experience of my career. It has been amazing to begin building such meaningful relationships with our students, our staff, and the school community of East Millbrook.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and sharing in fun and exciting experiences with our 6 and 3 year old boys.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
