This is a student-led group to foster friendship and support for LGBTQ+ students and allies. We welcome first-time and returning attendees! This group is a safe space for LGBTQ+ students where respect for others is expected and required.

Debate Club

Debate Club is a place for people to express their opinions in a structured, but fun, setting. We will be playing debate-related games to practice public speaking skills and quick thinking. Our goal is to allow the students of Wake STEM Early College to discuss controversial topics in a safe environment, such as whether zoos should be banned for animal cruelty or if children should have access to violent video games.

Our club is all about being chill and having fun. We plan the Smash Tournaments in collaboration with Student Council's Funtivity Nights. We host international tournaments for games such as League of Legends. This club is for all types of gamer to discuss and hangout with other gamers.

Girls' Club is made to be a safe space to empower women to become leaders and discuss issues that women face on a personal and professional level. This year we want to make sure to provide a space for people to interact with their classmates during quarantine.

Students Offer Support (S.O.S) is a tutoring club where STEM students tutor other STEM students. You can access this year's spreadsheet with tutor’s emails and times available below. If you would like to tutor, you can fill out your information, and if you would like to be tutored you can email a tutor of your choice and set up a google meet session. These tutoring sessions count towards NHS hours and being a tutor looks amazing on your college applications!

Techno Wolves FRC Team 5518 is a high school student-led FIRST Robotics Competition team based in Apex, North Carolina. We are a fourth-year community-based team partnered with Wake STEM Early College High School at NC State University. Techno Wolves serves as a valuable learning experience to all of our members; the team structure is based off of an existing model in the corporate world, giving members an early, competitive edge when applying for jobs and college. Additionally, our robotics program encourages students to actively promote the team by attending outreach events, participating in community service, raising funds, and reaching out to local businesses/organizations to support us.

We do not meet on a weekly basis. We plan monthly volunteer and community service events after school and on weekends.
