Weekly Memo:  Good evening Silver Hawk families, this is Principal Carter Hillman with your Weekly Memo:

  • All information provided in this Memo is posted on the VMCCA website under the “Principal’s Message.”
  • Parents: The VMCCA PTSA’s annual No-Fuss Fundraiser kicked off this week. The purpose of the fundraiser is to provide much needed instructional equipment for our classrooms that enhance the learning experience. This school year, we were able to fund four teacher requests for classroom equipment, and we look forward to providing even more in the future. You can find a link to the fundraiser on the Principal’s message (https://app.memberhub.gives/295f4d), the PTSA page, or a flyer that will be send home with students.
  • The VMCCA Prom will take place this Friday, April 12th, from 7:00 to 11:00 PM at Marble Museum.  Students are reminded that they will need a photo ID for themselves and their guest upon entering the event. Please note that students will not be readmitted once they leave the venue.
  • The VMCCA Senior Trip is scheduled for next Monday, April 15th to the North Carolina Zoo.  This will be a full-day trip.  Students will attend a Senior Breakfast on the VMCCA campus prior to leaving for the day.  Students are expected back on campus around 5:30 PM.
  • Parents and Students: VMCCA is proud to announce its inaugural Project-Base Learning Event Night on Tuesday, April 30th.  The event is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on the VMCCA campus.  Parents and students are encouraged to support the school’s endeavor in Recycling and Sustainability.
  • Students: We’re excited to tell you about a Japan trip we’re planning for the summer of 2026 with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for this free info session to take place on April 23.  The link to this information can be found on the VMCCA website under the Principal’s Message. https://bit.ly/VMCCAJAPAN
