MHS wanted to let you know about a recent TikTok trend that is sweeping the nation. Students are sticking pencil lead, pushpins, gum wrappers, or paperclips into their USB drive to intentionally damage a school-issued Chromebook to make it smoke. This is extremely dangerous, poses serious safety risks and a direct violation of school policy and state law.

Intentionally damaging school property or creating unsafe conditions will result in disciplinary action as well as possible legal consequences. These actions can also lead to criminal charges depending on the severity of the incident.
