In the last month students and their families, teachers, and administrators have been working to understand and settle into the new reality of digital learning. To this point, we have invested heavily in synchronous instruction which we have referenced as “live” instruction. This has presented a number of challenges from access and hardware issues through time management and physical well-being. We have spoken with an overwhelming number of families who have noted their students just need time to breathe, to catch up on work, and to get away from a screen.
Based on the information gathered from everyone, Millbrook will implement an asynchronous instructional day each Wednesday, beginning September 29.
