Spring Pictures
First up tonight, Spring Pictures are scheduled at school for this Thursday, March 24^th. Spring Pics are always a bit confusing for folks so here’s the lowdown. If you want a class picture of your Aviator’s homeroom, that $10 is due on Picture Day this Thursday. No other money is due on Picture Day though. You will be able to preview the package of pictures in April when we send them home. You then pay for all that you want of the package and/or return that which you don’t want to keep.

 

Family Fun Night
Next tonight, your PTA invites you to a Night of Family Fun on Friday, April 1^st, from 6-8pm on the back Baucom fields. There will be music, bounce slides, face painting, food trucks, and a free Kona Ice for each Baucom student.  All entertainment is free to your family, but we encourage you to support our local food trucks by purchasing dinner. Food trucks will be:  Will & Pops, Fired Up Pizza and BBQ, and Doherty's Paddy Wagon.  You may also bring your own food, if you prefer, as this event will be an outdoor one, similar to Welcome Back Night that we had in early September.

 

No School on March 28
Lastly tonight, remember that there is NO SCHOOL next Monday, March 28^th, due to another Quarter 3 Teacher Workday.

Single Subject Acceleration
Single Subject Acceleration, or SSA, within WCPSS is an opportunity for a student to test into the next grade-level for either math or English language arts (ELA). Only a very small handful of students qualify each year and those who typically do have been earning 4’s on their report card for the subject area being considered. Nevertheless, any student can test, if you register them the week of 3/21-25. If interested, check out the SSA webpage linked HERE for all the 2022 details.  

 

Kindergarten Registration
Did you know that Kindergarten registration for 2022-2023 is well under way? Baucom families – if you yourself have a Kindergarten-age eligible little one to register, OR if you know a neighbor or family member needing to enroll for next school year, PLEASE let them know they can connect with our Data Manager, Beverly Robinson, here at Baucom anytime. It helps us tremendously to gain Kindergarten registration sooner rather than later. For instance, the district considers the registration numbers when allotting us teacher positions for the following year. Padres y tutores de Baucom,

Esta es la Sra. Carrie Huffman con el Mensaje de Lanzamiento del Domingo de esta semana.

Primero, las fotos de primavera son el jueves 24 ^{de marzo}.  Si desea una foto de clase de la habitación de su aviador, se deben pagar $ 10 el Día de la Imagen. Podrá obtener una vista previa del paquete de imágenes en abril cuando las enviemos a casa. Luego puede pagar por las fotos que desea en el paquete y / o devolver lo que no desea conservar.

Próximo esta noche, la PTA los invita a una Noche de Diversión Familiar el viernes 1 de abril, de 6 a 8 de la tarde en la parte posterior del campos de Baucom. Habrá música, toboganes de rebote, pintura facial, camiones de comida y un Kona Ice gratuito para cada estudiante de Baucom. Todo el entretenimiento es gratuito para su familia, pero lo alentamos a que apoye a nuestros camiones de comida locales comprando la cena. Los camiones de comida serán: Will & Pops, Fired Up Pizza y BBQ, y Doherty's Paddy Wagon. También puede traer su propia comida si lo prefiere. Por último, la PTA quiere celebrar al Dr. Saunders esa noche, como despedida. Aunque no sabemos exactamente cuándo se irá a Millbrook High. Esperamos verte detrás de la escuela en la noche del 1 de abril.

Por último, esta noche, NO hay ESCUELA el próximo lunes 28 ^de marzo, debido a un Día de Trabajo del Maestro del Trimestre 3.

-La aceleración de una sola asignatura, o SSA, dentro de WCPSS es una oportunidad para que un estudiante pruebe en el siguiente nivel de grado para matemáticas o artes del lenguaje inglés (ELA). Solo un pequeño puñado de estudiantes califican cada año y aquellos que normalmente lo hacen han estado ganando 4 en su boleta de calificaciones para el área temática que se está considerando. Sin embargo, cualquier estudiante puede realizar la prueba si los inscribe la semana del 21/3 al 25. - La inscripción para el jardín de infantes para 2022-2023 está abierta. Familias de Baucom , si necesitan inscribirse para el próximo año escolar, POR FAVOR póngase en contacto con nuestra Gerente de Datos, Beverly Robinson. La inscripción temprana permite al distrito considerar los números de inscripción al asignar puestos de maestros de Baucom para el año siguiente.
